Wat Si Sudaram, Bangkok

History

Situated by the Bangkok Noi canal, Wat Si Sudaram is known as the temple where the famous Thai poet Sunthorn Phu (1786–1855) studied as a boy.

What to see

There is a large statue of well-known monk Somdet To (Somdet Phra Buddhacarya) in the grounds.

Getting there

Wat Si Sudaram sits beside Klong Bangkok Noi in Bangkok. River cruises pass the temple.
