Although a modern building, the Hor Phra Narai (Vishnu Shrine) is a remnant of the times when the worship of Hindu gods was widespread in the region. Phra Narai is the most common Thai name for Vishnu.
On display in the hall is a replica of the original stone statue of Vishnu now in the Nakhon Si Thammarat National Museum.
The shrine is located on the east side of Ratchadamnoen Road, between the Clock Tower and the City Wall, opposite the Hor Phra Isuan.
