Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park (Khao Wang), Phetchaburi

Phra Nakhon Khiri, locally known as Khao Wang (Palace Hill) was built as a summer palace by command of King Rama IV. The park includes furnished royal residence halls, an observation tower, a temple and a chedi. It's also well known for its mischevious monkeys. Open every day from 8am until 4pm, Phra Nakhon Kiri can be entered from opposite the Sun Hotel, off Phetchkasem Road, on foot or by cable car. Wat Maha Samanaram, with murals by Khrua In Khong, is near the entrance.
