Wat Ratchabophit is a royal temple built by King Rama V in 1869.
The ubosot (ordination hall) and viharn (assembly hall) are joined by an unusual circular courtyard with a golden chedi in the center. The interior of the halls has a strong Italian influence and the royal cemetery features monuments with a decidedly Gothic appearance.
The temple can be reached by buses that run to nearby Wat Pho. There is no entrance fee but donations are appreciated.
