Wat Phu Khao Thong was built by King Ramesuan to the north of the island in Ayutthaya.
The large chedi with its leaning spire is the main attraction. On the road approaching the temple there is an equestrian statue of King Naresuan.
The temple is to the north of the island. Hire a motorbike or bicycle at the guesthouse area on Soi 2 (pick up a town map at the tourist office near the intersection of Sri Sanphet Road and Rotchana Road), cross the river west of the Klong Tho and U-Thong Road intersection, then ride north up Highway 309 and the temple is after a lake on the left.
