Wat Phra Mahathat is a major Buddhist pilgrimage site. The temple is depicted on the back of the 25 satang coin.

Getting there

The temple is on the west side of Ratchadamnoen Road, south of the clock tower. Songteaws run up and down this main road for 10 baht per trip.
