History

Wat Bang Chak is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, opposite Koh Kret island.

What to see

The temple's large but aesthetically unappealing Buddha image looks out across the river, and is clearly visible from Koh Kret.

Getting there

The large Buddha image can be seen from near Wat Sao Thong Thong on Koh Kret island, from the Koh Kret cruise boats and river boats coming up the river from Bangkok.
