Ancient Siam, near Bangkok

Ancient Siam (formerly Ancient City), known in Thai as Muang Boran, is a large theme park outide Bangkok with a floating market and numerous temples and chedis. Some of the buildings are large replicas and others are originals that have been moved from some remote location and renovated. Allow at least half a day to see everything. Bicycles are free to use and electric buggies can be rented.

Ancient Siam is about 30km east of Bangkok in Samut Prakan province. The easiest way to reach it is take the BTS to Bearing, the last stop, and then take a metered taxi (about 100 baht). The entrance fee is 500 baht for non-residents, 350 baht for residents. Admission for children is 250 baht for non-residents, 175 baht for residents.
